Puppetry Delights at Bridgeton Blueberry Festival

We had such a blast at the Bridgeton BlueberryFest! Such a wonderful crowd with lots of vendors. We gave six performances of “Alice in Wonderland: The Case of the Bruised Blueberry.” Despite the rains, everyone had a delightful time!

When we arrived in Bridgeton, we set up two tents in Vernon Blades Park near the Neuse River. It was a wonderful location. One tent was for our puppet stages, the other for our guests (to provide protection from both sun and rain).

One stage featured our Wonderland scenery.

We had very friendly crowds gather to watch our shows. Dennis and Cyndi demonstrated how to manipulate the marionettes.

Our cast of characters hung from S-Hooks from the back of the stages. You can glimpse the script taped above the curtains.

These shows were not just for children. We were especially thrilled that teenagers stopped by to watch our puppet shows.

Dennis couldn’t resist having his photo taken as a big blueberry! Keith enjoyed being a “blueberry for a day.”
