Say Hello to Our New Marionette Friends!

This summer New Bern Puppets has been acquiring additional marionettes for our future shows. Here are some of the puppets we have added to our growing repertoire of marionette characters.

A Noddy Junior Jumpette Pelham puppet. He will come in handy as an elf in a Christmas production.

Dunstan the Dragon, designed in the late 1990s by Daniel Oates, is cute – the children should love him.

This Pelham Indian Maiden is a welcome addition. We are hoping to feature more Native Americans in our shows.

This Pelham Indian man marionette is still in the box! We are excited to study how the strings were wrapped and how the puppet was packaged. The puppet was sold back in the day at Gamleys, a British toy store.

This early 1960s Pelham monkey is adorable. We can imagine all sorts of mischief this fellow get into in our shows.

While we already have two Pelham wizards, we couldn’t pass up Merlin, who was featured in the 1963 Disney film, “The Sword in the Stone.”

While we already have this horse, a guest at one of our shows gave us this Pelham horse. We promised that we would give this little fellow a good home.
